Default Continuing a family tradition in Selma

Continuing a family tradition
Selma Times-Journal
There has always been a certain amount of high
expectation placed on those who have successful or
famous parents or grandparents before them. It was no
different for Catesby ap C. Jones upon entering the
world in Selma, Alabama.

I can relate to that. From the revolutionary war my ancestors have fought on and for this soil. One direct ancestor was arrested by the English prior to the Declaration of Independence for protesting the English tariff. Three known ancestors recieved land for their service in the Revolution, two for service in the war of 1812. Two died for Southern Independence, three were wounded. My grandfather contracted TB in WWI, my father still carries Jap scars. I barely missed Vietnam, I sure did want a few teeth for my cousin that was killed there. But thanks to the Bushes, I did get a chance to redeem myself. I just need a few carpetbaggers now, and would be content to retire.
