Houston has never been in WS in its 44-year history. The White Sox haven't been in since 1959 and haven't won in almost 90 years. Whoever prevails, I think its great for the game. Play ball!
The Houston Astros were named such because Houston is the center of the US Space Program. Same reason as the NBAs Houston Rockets. We used to have a football team called the Oilers because of the local oil industry (they are now the Tennessee Titans).
TexasRebel1980,
Don't worry about the respect from others. My SA Spurs have won three NBA championships and still get no respect from the Yankee sports press. Your Rockets won two in the 90s and got the same treatment.
ole,
(The following is a joke) Do you know where the business end of a bat is?

Mr. Powers:
I've held and swung a bat or two in my day, so I do know about it's business end. My failing is in that I simply don't care. I can get more worked up about a patch of apparently diseased grass or an unsatisfactory paint job.
All of which means only that I can share your excitement and enjoy your posts, but I simply do not care. Is the World Series coming up soon? I will watch a game or two if it's not too lopsided. When will it be played?
Did your football (soccer) team make it to the World Cup to be held in Germany next year?

I certainly hope that the soccer question was not directed at me. I have enough trouble following a real football game, let alone watching a game where you don't get to touch the ball.
