Found an interesting site that I thought a few might be interested in. Tommy, you might want to take a look at this site, if you can find the time and your computer doesn't bite you.
The site is called, 'The Declaration of war by the United States.'
There are also many links from this page, so it might be worth a person's while to scope it out.
Enjoy,

I know that I won't have any issues from anyone on this but even though they haven't been 'declared', Korea, Viet Nam, Panama, ****lia, Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq are wars and not the politically correct term, police actions. You can call a rose what you want but if it looks like a rose, smells like a rose, and feels like one, it probably is.
This is just one reason why there is a growing number of people not willing to support the troops in Iraq or Afghanistan because they wrongly believe that they are not a 'legal' or 'true' war. Believe me, they are and the boys on the ground are in just as much hazard over there as any soldier who fought the War of 1812, the Civil War or World War 1 or 2.
I wish Congress would have just gotten off its politically correct tail and just declared war on Afghanistan and Iraq. There were enough reasons to depose the Taliban, chase down Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein to warrant one.

I agree with your above 100%. If its war, then declare it and get the folks behind it. If it isn't and you can't get the folks behind it, then leave it be.

Mike... you give the political leaches in Washington far too much credit. I don't think it has changed in the course of history. And I agree wholeheartedly.
