How did they force Davis and the Confederate government to fire on the fort? By what mysterious process of mind control did they influence some of the best political minds of that century?
They could not, unless the majority of the Confederate cabinet, along with their newly chosen president, did want they wanted to do and had directed it to be done. Not unless someone can show me that the Union had a form of long-distance mind control.
