Default I miss the spell check

Too many misspellings are getting through for my blood. Does the new post facility have it somewhere that I can turn on? Hope so, if not, ah well. You were doing some things right in your previous incarnations, Mike & Ami.

Also, there seems to be a can't-say-that-here fascist type of word censor at liberty that is mauling purely appropriate words while on the lookout for banned ones. Somewhat disconcerting I must admit. Any idea how to rein in this overzealous element? Hope so, otherwise might just have to shoot the fump-and-fussy beasty... All the same, regards, and thanks for this great site, ed

I too miss the spell check. And I also miss the little icons for the faces that use to be right on the "post" area. How do you get those little things back again?

I found the icons in the go advanced section, but I do miss the spell check.

I miss the spell check too. Some times I write on word so I can use Word's spell check , then cut and paste it here.

Spell check is nice, just do what I do when you mispell something, have an excuse. I'm a Redneck so I'm allowed to mispell words and such.

I'm with you, Ed. I miss the spell check but the thing that irritates me more than anything is to have perfectly decent words ripped up with those **** so that the sentence is not readable. But spell check would catch things like:

Wrong / RIGHT
suceed: secede and seceded
succesion: secession
seperate: separate or separate

And finally, one that I'm guilty of sometimes:

propoganda: propaganda

Thea:
I'm with you on the ***, but spell check wouldn't catch things like "of coarse," or "your" (as opposed to you are or you're), or typos like "of" instead of "or."

Default Spell Check

I just downloaded a 'Google toolbar' and it has a spell check! No more excuses for me.

"I dunt sea annee reezon that wee nead spel-chickun."

The spell check tells me this looks like Swedish.

With the Swedish spell checker, it becomes:

"I dont ses änne reson tät we nejd spel-chicken."

With the Engish spell checker, it becomes:

"I daunt sea Annie rezone that wee ned spell-checking."
