On each post you will find a ranking listed under your username. It's based on the number of posts you've made on the Dispatch Depot message boards. The only way to improve your rank is to post new messages every day.

The ranks are designated as:

---Unregistered Users: Fresh Meat

---Registered Users, 0 to 24 posts: Cadet
---Registered Users, 25 to 249 posts: Private
---Registered Users, 250 to 499 posts: Corporal
---Registered Users, 500 to 999 posts: Sergeant
---Registered Users, 1000 to 1999 posts: First Sergeant
---Registered Users, 2000+ posts: Sergeant-Major

---Moderators: Brigadier General

Nah SamGrant, the real soldiers are the enlisted men and noncoms. Officers are just window dressing.

Hey, we all need officers. Somebody's got to draw bullets besides the poor color guard!

Heck, everytime an officer shows up we enlisted men have to start shooting at each other instead of trading coffee for tobacco and sippin' whiskey and playin' cards like civilized folks should. Privates do the work and sargents run the army.

Our splendid regiment is almost destroyed. We have had nearly 400 men killed and wounded in the battles. Seven of our officers were shot and three killed in yesterday's battle and nearly 150 men killed and wounded. All from less than 300 engaged. The men have stood like iron....Maj. Just checked my ranking, I'm moving up on corporal (again, as I held that exalted rank on the old board.) Better put to the quartermaster for my stripe, just to be ready.
