Sam- Thanks for the headsup on this book. With soooo many Civil War and other books out there to read, and a ton of books I already have and have to get to, it's good to know what not to invest time in.
A slight correction- it was Lewis Armistead who busted a plate over Jubal Early's head, thus earning a dismissal from the Academy for his trouble. The Army though, perhaps feeling this action was the thing to do at the time, gave him an officer's commission just a few years later.
