Escape from Fort Bravo. Union officer William Holden is in charge of a wilderness outpost holding Confederate prisoners. He must keep them in while trying to keep out marauding Indians. Good suspense and action scenes. Dir: John Sturgis. Cast: William Holden, Eleanor Parker, John Forsythe, William Demarest, William Campbell, John Lupton, Richard Anderson, Polly Bergen. 1953
It do sound like the subject, don't it?

As I kid I remember the Good Guys (The Rebs!) changing back to save the less good guys (Da Yanks.) from the pesky injuns and at a fort - don't think it wus Fort B. Ole.
BUT!!!..............................my daughter calls me stoopid, and my son, and, and.............

Sounds like Escape from Fort Bravo with William Holden. But don't pass by Errol Flynn in Rocky Mountain. To save the girl and some Yankees Flynn and his Southern irregulars lead the Indians into a box canyon and then turn around and charge them and of course get wiped out. And if you are really bored there is always The Last Outpost (Cavalry Charge) with Ronald Reagan. Of course, all these pale in comparison with the greatest western film of all time - The Terror of Tiny Town.

Some of the more recent ones appeal to myself. I currently have Gods and Generals, Glory, Gettysburg, The Hunley, and Ironclads in my video collection and I'm loooking for more. BTW, Ironclads is the story of the USS Monitor and CSS Virginia told as a spy thriller.
I have seen Audie Murphy in The Red Badge of Courage. I'd like to see a modern remake, even if it's for TV.
