Default Lee's Tarheels

Finished "Lee's Tarheels" by Earl J. Hess on Saturday. Hess takes you through the raising of the various regiments that became the Pettigrew-Kirkland-McRae Brigade of the Army of Northern Virginia. He shows the influence each man had on the brigade during the course of the war and describes their battles in detail. Besides drawing on published works, the author combed numerous museums and historical societies for unpublished manuscripts. The end result is a highly readable and informative book.

I can't very well pass on a book with that title. I'll order one right away.
