They are in the process of making a new Civil War movie. The name ou it is....No Retreat From Destiny: The Battle that Rescued Washington .

I and a friend of mine had a chance to vist the Monocacy battlefield and the exhibits they had there. Very interesting just how close a thing it was that Washington D.C. escaped being captured by those Confederate forces.

Yes it was Niel. Lew Wallace did what need to be done. You should read Lews book of his war years. Even if you don't like him it is a good read.

Cheers for the heads up on the movie 8th va cav,
Great website, looks like an awesome flick from the photo gallery, lol I wonder when it will be available in Australia, probably in time for the 150th anniversary (I'll have to see if Borders can order it in for me). Good to see footage from the 140th re-enactment was used, it's nice to hear the die hard re-enactors get some flim time.
