Ole Goes to War men from Norway Who Fought in America's Civil War by Jerry Rosholt

Ok folks, this is a decent book if you only want to skim the history of Norwegians in the Civil War. This said it does have some excellent info on Norwegians serving w/ the Union, It barely, if at all, touches on CSA service by Norwegians. While it does contain good info, including some good lists, I was disappointed in it and felt I lost out on the $15 price tag.

Though perhaps the best thing about the book is info of where to look for the end all be all list of Norwegians in the Civil War. www.vesterheim.org
