A superb analysis of how the Union won at Missionary Ridge. A first rate view of what went right and what went wrong w/ both the Union & CSA forces. Pat Cleburne vs Sherman, outnumbered hugely & the Army of the Cumberland taking on an invincible defensive position... wooh boy, you just don't get better than that!

A well written account of how battles & campaigns are won by the least incompetant army.
