Has anyone seen this movie yet? It was on the History Channel not long ago. Its a day-by-day documentary of the last year of the Civil War. Its very good and a must for every history teacher.

No, I didn't see the movie on the History Channel. I'll have to keep an eye on the TV listings to see if they repeat it.

My wife does have a copy of the book (by Jay Winik), so I can read that if History Channel doesn't show the movie again. For that matter, I probably ought to read it even if History Channel does show it again.

I did catch an installment on the History Channel. I liked what I saw.

Rebelgirl,

I got the book at the library and from the first chapter or so, looks very good and it seems at this point the History Channel has stayed true to the overall story. I saw this on TV too and as soon as I am done, I will get back to you and let you know if the two are the same.
