I am so excited about G&G! It seems like I've been waiting for years. I am marking each day on the calendar. I just can't wait until it's here. I've never looked forward to a movie so much in my life.

Does anyone else feel the same way I do?

I haven't seen any previews, so, I am not sure what to think, but Mike is excited!

I must say it's about the only CW movie I care one whit about and am anxious to see. I want to see it up on the big screen and try and get a feel on the events the actors are trying to portray. Here's hoping we all get satisfaction!

Dispite what's going on I'm gonna go see it no matter what. Need to get my mind off things for awhile. Saw the trailer and everything on the G&G site, kinda cool. I'm surprised Jeff Daniels reprised the role as Joshua L. Chamberlain, and that Steven Lang is also there. What charactor does Lang play as? I'm thinkin George Pickett, again!

I believe Lang will be portraying J.E.B. Stuart in Gods and Generals. Not sure if Pickett appears at all, and if he does, I don't know who would play the part.

Whoops! Wrong, wrong, wrong! That'll teach me to post before I check the facts.

Lang will be playing neither Pickett nor Stuart. He will be playing Stonewall Jackson.

The part of Stuart will be played by Joseph Fuqua.

I don't see Pickett listed in the cast.

by the way jebstuartgirl, did you like the way they portrayed Stuart in Gettysburg?

Keith ~

Well, all we saw of JEB was him getting a talking to by Lee. As usual he was taking most of the blame. I wasn't exactly thrilled with that. I'm just glad he was in the movie at all. It's a shame that they couldn't have kept track of what Stuart was doing as he was making his way around the Union army. It would have been nice to get a little of his side of it.

I understand that he is portrayed most proudly in G&G and he has more parts. Everyone has been telling me that his horse does a really nice skid. I am thrilled with Joseph Fuqua coming back to play the role. His pictures really look the part.

Jebstuartgirl,

I try to question the blame of Stuart at Gettysburg in the Eastern forum. Come on over and drop a thread! Don't be shy! I do not think he is all to blame for the Getty debacle.

As for G&G I hope Ted Turner leaving his post does not effect the possible filming of LFM!

Sean,
I myself question the decision of R.E.Lee at Gettysburg{easy now, Lee fans; I don't dispute he was a military genius at times} but, to paraphrase Shelby Foote on Pickett's Charge ....."there was scarcely a trained soldier who didn't know it was a mistake at the time.....but every man who looked out over that field, wheather it was a sergeant or lieutenant general saw that it was a desperate endeavor"...
