(sorry if this comes out twice, I think I goofed with the preview)

Not a review, but I guess this is the best place for it:
There are now 20 "Gods and Generals" pictures on Ron Maxwell's official site:

Allen,

Check out the website Redeye mentioned, the one with "gandgfilm" in the URL.

From what I see on that website, the best guess is that the film may premiere in New York and/or Los Angeles the last week of December this year, and then be released nationwide next January.

http://godsandgenerals.com/

That's the link to the official site, here is the release schedule as I know it for the movie:

A twenty minute special preview of movie to be screened at Antietam re-enactment on September 12 and another preview for the Corps of Cadets at West Point will occur in January.

It's rumored that special screenings will show starting on 12/27 in New York & Los Angeles.

"Gods and Generals" is now officially scheduled to open nation-wide in February 2003.

More pictures at the Warner Bros site:
http://godsandgenerals.warnerbros.com/

(info obtained from the always helpful http://gandgfilm.tripod.com/)

Click on Lee's picture and you'll get the gallery. There are 15 really great photos. I can't entirely buy a thirty-something Jeff Daniels, but Stonewall making paper dolls is priceless.
