Its an interstate mobile economy now. The South isn't the only region to be effected by this, as a matter of fact I would say that the South has derived a substantial benefit from it. Anytime I go to the South, whether its Texas, Florida, Carolina, etc. all I see are cranes and more building - place is booming! Don't be so glum!

Your leaving out those of us who have divided loyalties.

It's not that easy a question. Especially in a historical context. I have ancestors on both sides and it's just not as simple as poll on the internet.

Correct. It's not a simple question. I will note, however, that where the ancestors were born or lived, and which side they fought for or otherwise supported, ought to have no bearing on the study of history.

Did I welcome you yet? Good to have you with us.

You know ole, I didn't realize this site was a .edu site. Hell, I've been runnin' along thinkin' ya'll were all still fightin' the War of Rebellion and your a bunch of academics tryin' to write papers and get published and such. It ain't no wonder we don't get along.

Hell boys, I'm sorry for throwin' a skunk into your stew.

I'll just slip on over to the History.Net site and see what them fellers are havin' for dinner.

I'm outta here Cash. Adios Amigo. Comprenday!

Default T.s.

First of all someone might want to get Mr Steeles keys from him and his friends. Second, I"m glad the winds blow to the south where I live.
I'm with J. bart, I hate to get into arguements, but I do have a breaking point. If some of my guestions or threads cause anger among some of you I'm sorry, that was not my intentions.
I guess I'm a true southern.

Default Respect

Gentleman, I enjoy everyones comments about a very terrible time in our country. I know that our emotions can some times run high. I just hope that we can all repect everyone thoughts and feelings. It appears there are still wounds that need to be healed. I think our ancestors would want us to work out our difference to where they couldn't. I think maybe they want us to be better then they were, like I want my children to be better then me. I'm with Mr. Steele lets sit down and have a cold one.

Catch ya later. Chadutes..................
