I'm still at the pee pool party w/ Steve. C'mon over Ole I got some cheap Scotch (out of the good stuff) and the wife brought over some Tequila (foul stuff) you can drink all of that you can stomach.

I'm not certain what Steve's been drinking... he just keeps getting a look of mischief in his eyes when I ask... then he starts giggling and I have another shot of Scotch.

Ummm I wouldn't suggest diving into the pool; the water is getting pretty green... maybe we should add some chlorine.

Perhaps, just perhaps,

North and South no longer have the same meaning as they did in 1860. Perhaps people look upon themselves as Americans without the North/South label or even the East/West one.

One can say with pride that he/she was born in Ohio or Alabama, etc., but all have come to accept the fact that when a terrorist rams an airplane into a tall building, he is not asking if he is killing a true Son of the South or a Blue Blooded Yankee. To him, there is no difference.

He's just trying to kill Americans.

Maybe it's time we accepted the terrorist perspective. That we are all Americans with a proud past and a history worthy of anyone's in the world. We are proud of our heritage and our ancestors and their struggles that have made us what we are today.

And because we permit freedom of religion, thought, pray, desention, protest and the freedom of choice, we must be brought down as a people, an ENTIRE people, so that they can advance their own hideous agenda.

I'm shocked! Shocked! I'm a beer man, sir! Nothing but a nice, hoppy, mild, barley-based lager. Well maybe occasionally washed down with a bit of George Dickell -- but only maybe.

There ain't no southerners no more. Any of 'em that might still exist are lurking or cowering in the dark. I don't know if their afraid of Buch-Chen Co or not, but they most certainly do not stand up and shout out.

Sorry Ozark but that is grossly incorrect; I would challenge you or anyone to call Larry or Steve Cone a coward to their face. Pro Northern how? Have you been censored or banned because you are pro CS? No, noone has, those who have been banned well and truly deserved it for uncivil behavior and repeated breaches of the rules of this board. The charge that this is pro northern site is a pure cop out. Pro truth or pro history yes, if you or anyone does not want their opinion challenged... then go to a different site where you can find everyone of your opinion... that is not history but back slapping agreement.

It seems if pro CS opinions are challenged by anyone or if sources and documentation are asked for a site is suddenly pro northern. Pro northern, a crock. Pro US & pro history yes. Is my opinion somehow worth less than yours simply because I'm pro US... if so please explain to me how? Or are you suggesting mods are not allowed an opinion? The mod gods in the form of Ami & Mike keep a careful hands off stance... there posts are so few and far between that it is almost impossible to determine their stance. As to Ami... the CW is only a secondary interest, she does her yeomans work of policing this board out o love and appreciation for her other half, Mike. Mike... when has he jumped in and censored anything? Show me.

I've had about all I can handle of baseless charges about sites that don't agree w/ the Lost Cause view of history, the only censorship I see is that of Lost Causers attempting to shout down any who disagree w/ their South was right the US evil mantra. I've seen it on other sites I've seen it here. You or anyone is allowed their opinion, allowed to post it here free of charge... and yet the baseless charges of pro Northern, anti South etc ad nauseum keep coming up w/ no bassis in fact.
