While I'm in awe of what the founders achieved, I'm inclined to agree with you, Memphis. However, I would ask you this: What if they had failed to get a ratifiable(hope this is a valid word)document? Would it have been any better under the Articles of Confederation?

My vote went for President Lincoln. The war wasn't entirely his fault, but his election helped bring about the war.

This is a twisted way at looking at this topic. Blamed, the guy who wins the election so if we extrapolate it out, the majority Americans that voted for Lincoln started the war. The American people who exercised their constitution right to vote to chose our leader caused the war.

Is not the minority of American people who chose not to follow the laws of our land that started the war. They chose not agree with the terms of our constitution and the laws of the land, instead chose the GUN.

I would rethink our reasoning...
