I too am trying to get adjusted to this new forum. I haven't got the hang of all the bells and whistles either, Jenna.

Also, I don't know if there is a way to "quick scroll" to the bottom of a thread like the blue arrows that we had before. Or am I just too blind to see something that's already there to use?

I HOPE I've finally figured out how to sign up for all the forums but so far none has made it to my mail box so I'm still waiting on that.

Also, I noticed that Tommy is writing in Comic Sans, I believe, which is my favorite. Does this mean we can use various fonts?

The other problem that Mike says he will work on is my loss of about 300 posts. I was so PROUD when I passed the 1700 mark and to see it drop back into the 1400s certainly made my heart thud.

I guess this all will just take some adjustment. We'll have to take it one day at a time.

Thea, there is a little blue check mark next to the posts, that takes you to the first unread post.

and yes, you can change your font, but first you should set your default reply settings in your user cp, it will show font/size/color bold/italic/underline and smiles.

I am supposed to have over 700 posts, but I don't really think post count is a big deal, cuz you can always get more

Ami

Hi Ami,
Thanks for the information about changing fonts and how to get to the first unread posts. I don't know if I want to fool around with the default settings to change fonts though. The last time I did something like that I had a devil of a time just returning to the originals. Of course that was many years ago. I might just have learned a thing or two since then.

As for the loss of 300 posts, that still bothers me a great deal because it represents hours and hours of work. Of course I can always get more but I would prefer to build on top of what I had already posted. Who wouldn't?

I do understand that all the quirks have yet to be ironed out, I'm just hoping that Mike will be able to make this adjustment to mine and to the other poster who is having the same problem.

As for me, I think this board and the presentation are great. I'm too dumb for a lot of the whistles so no discomfort there. I'm still learning English? and what all the keys mean in Word. Thank you all for sharing this most enjoyable experience.

I'm a little late, but what the heck,
I find this board, a wonderful place. It's a forum where I can speak out on a subject and be both scolded and praised. I find the board very up to date and easy to adjust to, after a trial run, of course. I've tried a couple of other boards, and they don't compare, with the board or the people. I won't go anywhere else. It's a great experience.

My Beef: I can't correct my misspellings in the titles of my posts, only the body of the post - and I can misspell anywhere!

(And the Spell Checker doesn't do the 'Title'.)
